Comic about something that was weighing heavily on my mind recently

I don’t normally reblog stuff but this is one of my big concerns about this fandom. :T

Draw and write and create whatever you want, that’s cool, but please keep in mind that a huge chunk of this fandom is little kids and they know how to use Google. You don’t have to go to extreme measures or anything, just try not to post it somewhere where kids are likely to be seeing it (for instance, the official MLP Facebook page).

While I don’t have kids, or siblings that are young enough to get into the show, I happen to have a niece… but that changes nothing. Despite all of the shout-outs and acknowledgements from Hasbro and the MLP: FiM crew…or even the slight shift towards a more General Audience…the fact of the matter is that the core demographic is little girls. The fandom both needs to remember this AND keep it in mind when posting stuff.
